The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged a man for his involvement in an officer-involved shooting nearly a year after it took place.

The incident stemmed from deputies attempting to make a traffic stop on the man's vehicle after he was identified as a wanted suspect.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) announced that an investigation requested by Wellpath Recovery Solutions led to the charges.

These charges stem from allegations dating back to 2024.

The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, SLED said.
