Starbucks workers walked off the job across the US in protest of the coffeehouse’s dress code for its baristas. “Starbucks needs to focus on better staffing, lower wait times, and higher pay for workers - NOT micromanaging the color of our shoes or makeup,” wrote the Starbucks Workers United. #workersunion #dresscode #US #Starbucks #starbucksprotests #7NEWS | 7NEWS Sydney

Starbucks baristas must follow a more conservative dress code in stores soon - a huge change that means many workers have to buy all-new wardrobes while limiting self expression. Baristas at the Seattle Roastery marched together as a union to confront uncaring management and demand they also address lack of hours and staffing. If Starbucks isn’t listening, we’ll keep taking action until they do. Starbucks cannot legally make unilateral changes to store policies without bargaining with our union.

Lexi Rizzo was a Starbucks worker who started the Starbucks Workers United movement that took the country by storm. After 8 years with the company, Starbucks fired Lexi for being just a few minutes late to her shift. This is clear retaliation after former CEO Howard Schultz was forced to testify in front of the US Senate to answer for Starbucks’ illegal union-busting campaign. Lexi responds to Schultz here. #starbucksbarista #tobeapartner
