On 15 November 2025, ICA officers at Woodlands Checkpoint foiled an attempt to smuggle duty-unpaid cigarettes into Singapore via a Malaysia-registered car. ICA Search & Examination officers directed the vehicle for enhanced checks and uncovered more than 4,400 packets of duty-unpaid cigarettes concealed within various compartments of the vehicle.
